Jess Freeman

Jess is a 3D artist, illustrator, and designer, who works in a digital style that often makes use of bright colours, high contrast, sharp lines and texture. After studying fine arts and arts management at Sydney College of the Arts and Macquarie University, she worked in freelance graphic design and ran a handmade jewellery business for a number of years, then switched her focus entirely to design and illustration, and later 3D art. Jess completed a Certificate IV in Design through TAFE (Design Centre Enmore) in 2015, and a Diploma of Illustration (Graphic Design) in 2016. In 2017 she continued her studies with an Advanced Diploma of Illustration (Graphic Design), and graduated with the 2017 Achievement Award for Outstanding Performance in the course. After graduating, Jess worked as an independent illustration and design contractor for global management consultancy firm McKinsey & Company, and marketing firm Cherry Media Group, along with various freelance projects in publishing and graphic design. In 2020 she returned to Design Centre Enmore to study a Bachelor of 3D Art & Animation, and graduated at the end of 2022 with a split major in asset creation and look development.
