Kate Hill

Hi!

I'm Kate. I'm Melbournian, but live in East Africa - one of the most beautiful and interesting parts of the world!

At 3, I could be found in my parents' garden in Eltham in my rainbow wellies, painting at an easel. Now a little older, I can be found sketching in my garden under the guava tree, in my studio, or neighbouring Karura forest (known as the 'lungs' of Nairobi).

I'm largely inspired by people (group dynamics, cultures, systems that we create that support and engage each other) and the natural environment. I believe in visual storytelling for social impact/social justice, and when possible, facilitate creative education workshops for small, diverse groups, that connect and challenge. I am a teacher, artist and researcher.
