Maeve Godfrey

Maeve Godfrey is an illustrator, watercolourist and photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. At the moment her style is reminicent of traditional Western illustration as she creates nostalgic and imaginative portraits and scences of people and animals.

She's influenced by many classic illustrators, including Beatrix Potter, John Tenniel, Arthur Rackham and Robert Ingpen in creating watercolour and ink works of whimsy. Specialising in woodland animals and fantasy, her goal is to bring the art of story telling to life and bring magic and peculiarity to the everyday with the quote in mind;

"...science can save a man's life, but imagination makes it worth living" - Natasha Pulley, The Watchmaker of Filigree Street.
