I was born in Melbourne Australia. I have always loved drawing from my earliest childhood memories. Art and drawing were my favourite subjects at school. I studied Graphic Design at University and graduated with a Diploma of Graphic design. After graduating, I moved to the country, but shortly after buying my property, I was burnt out in the Ash Wednesday bushfires. Freelancing out of a caravan producing children’s books was challenging to say the least! The main themes that run through all my work, is the preservation of our beautiful flora and fauna, and their environments. My illustrations have a strong whimsical feel to them. All artworks are firstly drawn on paper as lead pencil sketches. They are then scanned and painted digitally in Photoshop. The images are then manually painted as watercolors, I use a variety of papers for this stage of the process. The watercolour painting is scanned and combined with the digital painting to produce the final finished product. I freelance as an Illustrator and I exhibit my work in various exhibitions. I mainly produce commissioned works, and self-promotional illustrations . Some of my favourite illustrators are Charles Folkard, Alexander Skachkov, Graeme Base and Charles Fuge just to name a few. Their wonderful drawing styles, and their artistic ability to entrance the viewer, are nothing less than inspirational.
