Sam is a Natural History Illustrator from Port Macquarie on the Mid North Coast of NSW. Growing up amidst a family of bushwalkers, bird photographers and landscape artists her appreciation of the natural environment and love of wildlife art began at an early age.
Graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2007 with a Bachelor of Natural History Illustration Sam has since worked on projects with the Newcastle Museum, The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (Canada), and outdoor clothing retailer Patagonia. She has also collaborated with the Walter Phillips Gallery and Parks Canada to teach a series of Natural History drawing classes during a year’s stay in Banff; the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
