New Avenues for Illustrators

Saturday, 1 October 2011

NEW AVENUES FOR ILLUSTRATORS:
What does it mean to be an illustrator in the modern day? What other skills do illustrators have and need? The blurring of the lines between illustration, animation and graphic design, the shift towards new technologies like ipads, e-books and other applications and rising client expectations are all concerns for the modern day illustrator.

Join us for this ONE DAY SEMINAR where a panel of professional illustrators and allied creatives branching out into new avenues of image making will discuss, show their works, give advice and field questions on these very matters and more.

Speakers include:
Jeremy Wortsman from Jacky Winter Group.  Jeremy will talk about how an illustration agency works, what you need to get in, what his clients expect and his view of changes in technologies in the Illustration Industry
On the discussion panel:
Illustrator Nigel Buchanan (Sydney)
Illustrator Andrea Innocent (Melbourne)
Animator/Illustrator Isobel Knowles (Melbourne)
Graphic Designer/Lecturer/Illustrator Steph Ransom (Melbourne)
