Join Illustrators Australia

When you join Illustrators Australia you are joining the only peer support network solely for illustrators in the entire country. That makes you pretty unique... much like the beloved Platypus.

We are a community of unique and diverse creatives who really care about art.

Ours is an open, inclusive, informed and friendly organisation, run by illustrators for illustrators just like you. If you are a student, a freelancer or want to have regular work in the industry, this is your community. Whatever stage you’re at, we’re here for the journey.

We promote our members’ work, build business and community for illustrators and advocate for greater rights, respect and acknowledgment in the industry. Our focus is on celebrating our culture and community. Our volunteers work hard to support and promote our members – and we have a lot of fun while we do it!

Memberships are open to residents of Australia, Aotearoa/New Zealand and the Australasian Region at all stages of your career. We welcome all humans and human-made art (strictly no AI). Illustrators Australia is your friendly community of illustrators, a collective of courageous creatives, and a defender of our creative future. We’d love you to join us. Apply below.

We adore originality, diversity and your creative vision.

If you’re unique like the platypus then you’re one of us!
