We at IA are saddened to hear of the news of the passing of Alex Stitt AM, an illustrator / designer / animator who left an indelible mark on the cultural consciousness of Australia. His characters for the ‘Life. Be in it” campaign will never be forgotten by those of a certain generation, and his achievements were recognized earlier in 2016 with his appointment of Member in the general division of the Order of Australia (AM).
In 2011, an autobiography -Stitt Autobiographics - covering 50 years of his work was published.
The Funeral of Mr Alexander Stitt AM will be held at the Boyd Chapel, Springvale Botanical Cemetery 600 Princes Highway Springvale on Tuesday 11 October 2016 with a service commencing at 12.30pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peninsula Home Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the Chapel.
