Amber W Johnson

Having always been in love with picture books and reading, I enjoy creating narrative artworks with whimsical and surreal imagery. I work with pen and ink, watercolour, and acrylic paint as well as digital painting. My inspiration comes from a fascination with nature, animals, travel and my children. Originally from a small town in Maryland, USA, I moved to Australia in 2000 and now live in Canberra with my husband, daughters and dog named Rooster. I love reading, roller-skating and working in my studio, surrounded by my garden.
