"Always look on the bright side..."

I commenced MY art career by accident when I was living in a commune in Berkeley california in 1969, chasing "The Summer of Love".   I was broke and bare-foot after hitch-hiking criss-crossing Europe from Sweden to Morocco and then overland from New York to LA.    Always sketching on my journey, I commenced a Batik painting course and over the next 20 years sold 4,000 of those paintings. My love of The Road also took me hitching from San Francisci to Panama, living in the Guetamalan Jungle down the Rio de la Passion out of a 20foot dug-out canoe, visiting the indegenous river folk. Returing to my native Australia, I travelled widely sharing my artistry with settlements of Tiwi Islands, Weipa, local Brisbane groups including 10 years of travelling with the Queensland Arts Council, and the New Mexico Arts Commission with native American communities.

Now settled in Brisbane, Australia, my current water-colour painting is about "Having a Laugh.."
