Michelle Collins

In 2022 post COVID and at a turning point in my life, I took the leap and participated in an adult art class exploring and reconnecting to people and my creative intuitive side. I now confidently produce work that gives me great joy, pleasure and pride. My Art and illustrations are inspired by many things that bring joy to my inner child, weather, dreams, colour, animals, curious people, fantasy, flora and fauna.

Since reconnecting I have been published as a children’s book illustrator for "Eudena and the Dandelion Clock Puzzle". I worked with the authors’ partner to bring aspects of the authors personality, humour, and passion in life into this work. I continue to apply myself to classes and learning. Following on from completing illustrations for "Eudena and the Dandelion Clock Puzzle", I have continued to pursue developing my skills and interests in applying different mediums. Admittedly some were fails, learning and being open to explore and give things a go. My Art and composing illustrations provides me with opportunities with a safe place where I can immerse myself into a safe space as much as I struggle with social situations so I will book into a social setting such as a class or social art group.
