Simon Howe

I'm an illustrator and author with a broad appetite for children's literature, animation, storytelling and design.

I’ve worked with several major publishers including Scholastic and Allen & Unwin, and I’m currently illustrating furiously for Hardie Grant Egmont on the Naughty Dragons series by Natalie Jane Prior. My first authored book, Shoosh!, will be published by the State Library of Queensland in September, 2020.

I also regularly work with much-loved kids band, Teeny Tiny Stevies, designing, directing and animating their music videos. All of these animations are now screened frequently on ABC Kids Television.

From 2017-19, I helped found Pirate Size Productions, a small company developing and producing high quality entertainment for children, young people and families. Pirate Size works with domestic and international broadcasters and production companies as both a creative service provider, and a producer of original IP.
